A lawmaker of the main opposition Nepali Congress party has warned that he and his cadres would launch a movement demanding the reinstatement of Hindu state if the government failed to stop incidents like the killing of around two dozen cows in Surkhet of Karnali province some days ago.
Former minister of state for home affairs Devendra Raj Kandel says a movement will be launched for the Hindu state if the killing of cows will not be stopped.
Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, Kandel claimed that people are killing cows intentionally. He also pointed out that the punishment for the killing of cows is less than the punishment for the killing of wild animals like rhinoceros and tiger.
