Janakpurdham, February 10
Rape-surviving single mother Niharika Rajput and the alleged rapist Shiva Raj Shrestha are married now while the rape case against Shrestha is still sub-judice.
In presence of close family members, the two held a wedding function at the Janaki temple in Janakpurdham, Dhanusha on Friday.
Earlier, the Dhanusha District Court had reconciled them as a couple.
As per the agreement signed in presence of the judge, Shrestha has agreed to accept Rajput as his wife and the child and his child and take care of them.
Shrestha had been denying the rape charge for a long time. However, he was forced to accept Rajput as his wife after the son’s DNA matched his.
