Kathmandu, January 17
The third edition of the Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest) is set to take place from March 16 to 27, with the theme “Theatre for Social Transformation: Light of Indigenous Wisdom.”
The selection of plays for this year’s event has been completed.
Actor Dayahang Rai has been appointed as the Festival Director, while theatre artist Kedar Shrestha will serve as the Festival Coordinator.
This year, NITFest will expand its reach by hosting performances at Mandala Theatre in Kathmandu and in locations outside the capital, with preparations for venues beyond the valley already underway. According to the organisers, the line up of the plays and other programs of the festival will be made public soon.
