Kathmandu, April 22
Mandala Theatre has called for applications to participate in the third edition of the Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest). The festival is scheduled from March 16 to March 27, 2025, with the theme—Social Transformation: Light of Indigenous Wisdom.
Those interested in participating in the festival can visit the official NITFEST website. The deadline for play submissions is May 31, 2024.
“Building upon the success of the previous editions, the third edition of NITFEST promises to be even more dynamic and inclusive with applications for plays and other events,” said the organiser.
According to the organiser, this year’s festival will feature a special section dedicated to children’s theatre.
Applicants should complete a Google form and provide a video clip of their play performance. The organiser said that the third edition of NITFEST will also include workshops, panel discussions, dance performances, musical showcases, seminars, literary works, and other cultural celebrations.
Artists and cultural enthusiasts from different continents and countries are invited to participate and contribute to the festival’s diverse line-up of events. For those interested in participating in other events such as workshops, panel discussions, and cultural celebrations, applications can be submitted using a separate Google form by June 30, 2024.
