Kathmandu, November 9
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who returned home following a three-day visit to India, has rubbished reports that he met any Tibetan leader during his trip to Goa and New Delhi.
Deuba, who appeared in an aggressive mood before mediapersons upon his arrival in Kathmandu, said, “I also know what is to be done, if Nepal’s media write about things that have not taken place.”
He clarified that there was no grain of truth in reports that he met the Dalai Lama’s representatives in India. “There were four other people on stage during the programme I attended. I returned to my hotel after delivering my speech,” he said.
Deuba said he updated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the bid to amend the new constitution, and the Indian premier suggested that Nepal move forward by taking everyone on board.
