Kathmandu, July 4
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC ) has reduced the price of petroleum products.
The price of all petroleum products like diesel, petrol, kerosene and aviation fuel has been decreased.
NOC has announced price adjustments for different parts of the country.
According to NOC spokesperson Manoj Thakur, the price of diesel, petrol, and kerosene has been reduced by Rs 7.50 in the first category, Rs 6 in the second category, and Rs 5 in the third category.
NOC has categorised Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Amalekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi in the first category. Surkhet and Dang are placed in the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal are placed in the third category.
In the first category area, the price of petrol has been set at Rs 167.50 per litre, in the second category area it is Rs 169 per litre, and in the third category area, it is Rs 170 per litre. Previously, the price of petrol was Rs 175 per litre nationwide.
Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene in the first category area is Rs 147.50 per litre, in the second category area it is Rs 149 per litre, and in the third category area, it is Rs 150 per litre.
Additionally, the price of domestic aviation fuel has been reduced by Rs 14 per litre, and the price of international aviation fuel has been decreased by USD 115 per kiloliter. However, there is no change in the price of cooking gas.
