Nepal Electricity Authority’s Managing Director Kulman Ghising said he was not thinking of running for the Kathmandu Mayor in the upcoming local level elections.
Posting a status on Facebook this morning, Ghising, who has earned a fame for giving an end to a daily power outage in the nation as the chief executive of the power monopoly, and said, “For me, the responsibility of energy [as the NEA Executive Director] is that of the major. I will not deviate.”
Rumours had been rife that the ruling CPN-Maoist Centre was planning to field the emerging good governance icon for the mayor of the capital.
