Kathmandu, December 29

The new ruling alliance has decided to draft a common minimum programme, a plan of action for the new government as agreed by all parties supporting it, in the next five days.

A meeting of the alliance held at the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar assigned a task force representing leaders of all political parties to prepare a draft of the common minimum programme. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will lead the team as the leader of the biggest constituent in the alliance.

Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane says the team will have a member from each party in the alliance and its first meeting will be possibly held on Friday.

Meanwhile, the alliance leaders also discussed the distribution of ministerial portfolios to give the full shape to the new government, but it has not been concluded yet.

Dahal formed his initial team on Monday, but it is not clear when the cabinet will get the full shape.
