Tamghas, April 29
Tulsi Bahadur Lama (55) of Doholi, Isma, died and Min Bahadur Lama and Lok Bahadur Gurung sustained burns when fire engufled Isma, Gulmi district, on Friday.
Lama had tried to fight the fire when fire spread from Kalyar forest to Sautegaunda, close to his home, journalist Shiva Subedi informed.
Of the two, Gurung has suffered severe burns, with more than 70 per cent of his body affected. After first aid at a local health centre, the two have been rushed to Palpa for further treatment.
Meanwhile, wildfire has been raging on at the Resunga region since Thursday evening. High winds blowing in the afternoon have fanned the flames, inspector Shailendra Kumar Bhatta informed.
Security personnel and local people have been trying to extinguish the fire.
