Kathmandu, July 28
Badminton player Prince Dahal has lost to Victor Axelsen of Denmark in the Paris Olympics. Dahal lost in straight sets 2-0 in the match held last night at Porte De La Chapelle Arena in Paris, France.
Prince lost the match against Victor in consecutive sets of 21-8 and 21- Prince will now play against Ireland’s Hat Nguyen on Monday and on July 30 he will play against Israel’s Misa Zilberman.
Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. This is the first time a Nepali athlete competed in badminton in the Olympics.
Later today, Sushmita Nepal from Nepal will compete in a 10 m air rifle in shooting while Duwana Lama will compete in a 200 m freestyle in swimming.
