Kathmandu, August 26
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has announced that airline companies will provide 50 per cent discount on the airfare to citizens who have crossed 70 years of age.
Bhattarai made the announcement amidst a press meet in Kathmandu on Monday.
Likewise, the minister said all people excluding those who are addressed with ‘Right Honourable’ honorific will be barred from taking their vehicles inside the Tribhuvan International Airport. President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairperson of the National Assembly will be allowed to take their vehicles inside the airport.
Meanwhile, the minister said the government would launch a campaign to urge each Nepali residing abroad to send at least one foreign tourist to Nepal so as to make the Visit Nepal 2020 a success. The government would partner with the Non-resident Nepalis Association for that.
