Kathmandu, April 28

The government has revised its rule on the requirement of a PCR test report, suggesting the person tests negative for coronavirus, for boarding international flights.

Now onwards, the report should have the traveller’s photograph and a bar code whereas only A-class labs have been allowed to conduct tests for this purpose.

The reports readable by the IMU online system would also work, according to Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari, the joint spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The government has tightened the rule apparently after a lab in Kathmandu was found issuing suspicious reports which police claim were fake and issued without testing.
