After the news about Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli embarking on a ‘medical’ trip to Singapore next week came out, the public turned curious what was wrong with the kidney-transplanted PM again.
Some of them expressed doubts if it was really a medical trip as Oli was active in his routine works including meetings and public events. Just a few days before the announcement, Oli had said at a function that he was just a ‘temporary’ patient.
Now, his personal physician Dr Divya Singh has answered the doubts. She says Oli is not going to Singapore for checkups only, but to take rest for a few days.
She claims that Oli’s daily schedule is quite hectic in Nepal while his body needs rest. “When a normal person works like he does, they fall sick. He has got his kidney transplanted,” she informs, “Therefore, I advised him to go abroad for health checkup so that he can take rest for a few days.”
It is evident that health checkup is not a priority for Oli this time as his secretariat is yet to fix a hospital for him in Singapore.
“We have planned to conduct checkups with old doctors there,” Singh says, “But, the hospital has not been fixed yet.”
