Actor Raj Ballav Koirala launched his poetry collection, entitled Aaura, on Saturday in Kathmandu. Published by Sahitya Post, the collection features over 100 poems.
Speaking at the event, Koirala shared that it took him 43 years to become the person he is today.
“Actors are sensitive, and so are poets. Today, I feel that the two sides of me—the artist and the poet—have found intimacy,” said Koirala.
He dedicated the poetry collection to his daughter, Aaura.
“Everyone who loved my poems used to ask me to publish a collection. This book is dedicated to my daughter and to everyone who loves me,” he added.
Koirala revealed that preparations for the launch were ongoing during the shooting of Aktor: Take 1, his recently released film.
During the event, Koirala also recited poems dedicated to his wife and daughter. Additionally, poet Biplov Pratik, journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak, film director Deepa Shree Niraula, and film producer and musician Abiral Thapa recited poems from the collection.
