Kathmandu, January 17
Bodies of 46 victims killed in the Pokhara plane crash on Sunday have been brought to Kathmandu for identification and postmortem.
The bodies, whose postmortem could not be conducted in Pokhara, have been kept at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
Many of these bodies are yet to be identified, and officials are preparing to conduct DNA tests in Kathmandu for identification.
However, some identified bodies have been handed over to the victims’ family members in Pokhara itself.
There were 72 people on board the crashed aircraft. Whereas 70 bodies have been collected from the incident site, the whereabouts of two are yet to be ascertained.
