Kathmandu, November 8
Police have dispersed former PLA fighters from the CPN-Maoist party headquarters, a day after they padlocked the party office and camped outside of it.
The former PLAs, who were disqualified from taking part in the army integration process following the peace deal, camped at Paris Danda overnight with their children and family.
They are demanding that that government remove the ‘disqualified’ label they have been given, and that the government declare them as freedom fighters.
According to police, some of the protesters have been detained.
The same group had camped outside the Maoist office for 57 days a few months ago.
