President’s Dashain tika schedule: 1 hour for officials, 2 hours for the public

The President’s Office says President Bidya Devi Bhandari is offering Dashain tika to the public as a symbol of the blessings from Goddess Durga on Bijaya Dashami, the main day of Badadashain.

The tradition of the head of the state offering blessings on the main day of the greatest festival of the country began, and the presidents have been continuing this in the republican era also.

According to the President’s Office, President Bhandari will offer Dashain Tika and prasad on the day of Bijaya Dashami (Wednesday, October 5) as per the following schedule:

1. 2 to 3 pm: Officials of legislative, executive and judicial bodies of the federal and provincial levels and other VIPs
2. 3 to 5 pm: Members of the public
