A private jet collided with another aircraft at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday afternoon, resulting in a crash, CNN reported.
The accident has claimed one life, while three others were injured. According to CNN, a small jet attempting to land struck a parked commercial jet.
The aircraft involved in the crash was a Learjet 35A, owned by Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil. However, Neil was not onboard at the time, his representative, Borik Robinson, confirmed.
The jet had departed from Austin, Texas, and was landing at Scottsdale Airport around 2:45 PM when the accident occurred. Airport Aviation Planning and Outreach Coordinator Kelly Kuester stated that the crash was caused by a landing gear failure.
According to Captain Dave Folio of the airport’s fire department, one person died at the scene. Two others sustained critical injuries, while one person is in stable condition.
