Rara Lake saw over 4,500 visitors in the past four months.
According to Rara National Park, 4,611 tourists, including 96 foreigners, visited Rara Lake between July 17 and November 16.
Information officer at Rara National Park, Jay Hari Dhital, said the number of tourists visiting the lake is increasing this year.
Rara recorded a huge number of domestic tourists during the Dashain-Tihar vacation, earning Rs 1.2 million in revenue during this period, said Dhital.
Rara National Park has established an entry fee of Rs 100 for domestic tourists, Rs 1,500 for tourists from SAARC countries, and Rs 3,000 for other foreign nationals.
Around 75 per cent of tourists travel to Rara Lake via air, while 25 per cent use the roads to get to the lake. It is anticipated that the number of tourists visiting the lake will significantly rise with the improvement of more reliable and high-quality roads.
