Kathmandu, May 14
Rastra Kabi Madhav Prasad Ghimire has appealed to political parties and leaders to be united at the local level as he cast his vote during local level elections on Sunday.
The 97-year-old national poet had gone to the Kanya School voting station in Lainchaur of Kathmandu to cast his vote.
Claiming he was happy to elect local leaders are 20 years, Ghimire also urged leaders not to extend political disputes at the central level to the local ones.
He suggested that to-be-elected local leaders should focus on development.
