Realme 11 5G and Realme 11x 5G: Excellent design, display and performance on a budget

Continuing their number series, Realme has launched two new smartphones; the Realme 11 5G and the Realme 11x.

These two smartphones are the new addition to the 11 series by Realme with the Realme 11 Pro+ and the Realme 11 Pro released sometime ago. Both phones have almost the same design with some very minor changes which are hard to differentiate. One of the main upgrades is the camera and its sleek design. But what else does the new phone have to offer? Let us have a look.

Specifications of Realme 11 5G

Design and display

The Realme 11 5G has a pretty nice design. The phone has an extensive camera module. Inside this module, akin to eyes, are two additional cameras. Positioned just below this configuration is a flashlight which makes it look like an emoji.

The camera has a slight bump with the ring outside having a striped design. The plastic back and the aluminium frame are flat with slight curves around the edges. The frame has a glossy finish whereas the back has a grainy matte textured look with some shine.

The Realme 11 5G has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ resolution of 1,080×2,400. It has a 91.40 per cent screen-to-body ratio a 120Hz refresh rate and a responsive touch sampling rate of 180Hz. In terms of brightness, the screen shines bright at 550nits (typ) and peaks at 680nits (HBM).

Performance and storage

The Realme 11 5G runs on a new MediaTek Dimensity 6,100+ chipset built on a 6nm process. Its octa-core CPU comprises 2 high-performance A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz and 6 efficient A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz. The graphics are handled by the ARM G57 MC2 GPU. The operating system is Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.

The Realme 11 5G is available with 8 GB of RAM and a choice between 128 GB and 256 GB storage. Notably, the RAM can dynamically expand to an extra 8 GB, offering a potential total of 16 GB RAM for improved performance.

Camera

The Realme 11 5G has a dual camera setup which includes a 108MP 3x zoom camera with a focal length of 23.6mm and an f/1.75 aperture, providing stunning clarity. Another is a 2MP portrait camera with an f/2.4 aperture for depth effects.

There are many features like auto-zoom, super nightscape, 1,08MP mode, professional mode, pano, bokeh, HDR, text scanner, street photography mode, AI beauty, filters, AI scene recognition, portrait distortion correction, and tilt-shift.

For video recording, the rear camera can record 1,080p videos at 30 fps and 720p videos at 30 fps.

On the front, a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture takes care of selfie photos and videos. The features include portrait mode, AI beauty mode, face recognition and super nightscape.

For video recording the front camera also supports 1,080p at 30 fps and 720p at 30 fps.

Battery and others

The Realme 11 5G is fueled by a 5,000 mAh(typ) battery while it can be charged using a 67W SUPERVOOC wired charger. However, in the box, the phone comes with an 80W SUPERVOOC charging brick. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.2.

For audio, there is a mono speaker at the bottom along with the 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is equipped with a range of sensors including magnetic induction, light, proximity, gyro-meter, and acceleration. Security is ensured with the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It is available in two colours, Glory Gold and Glory Black.

The expected price of the Realme 11 5G in Nepal is Rs 32,000 for the 8/128GB option and Rs 36,000 for the 8/256GB option.

Realme 11x 5G

The other brother of the Realmme 11 5G is the Realme 11x 5G which is a more budget option. The design is the same with a slightly smaller camera bump and a metal frame instead of an aluminium frame. Another key change is the camera specs.

The Realme 11x 5G has a 64MP main camera sensor whereas the 11 5G has a larger 108MP sensor. On the front too, the selfie camera of the 11x 5G is an 8MP sensor whereas the 11 5G has a 16MP sensor. Another change for price cutting is the charging. Both smartphones have the same 5000 mAh battery but differ in the charging specs. The 11 5G supports 67W charging whereas the 11x 5G supports 33W charging.

The Realme 11x 5G is available in two different colours; Purple Dawn and Midnight Black.

The expected price of the Realme 11x 5G in Nepal is Rs 26,000 for the 6/128GB option and Rs 29,000 for the 8/128GB option.
