Kailali, March 13
Dipendra Budha of Bajhang district died when the bike (registration number Ba 3 Kha 6133) he was driving collided head-on with a bus (Se 4 Pa 7137) carrying a marriage procession, in Manehara, Dhangadhi municipality, on Sunday. The biker was said to be in his mid-20’s.
Mukesh Thapa, a Nepal Army soldier, who was riding pillion on the bike heading for Urma and injured in the accident, was admitted to the emergency ward of the Seti zonal hospital the same day.
On Sunday night, relatives of the injured vandalised the ward, accusing the hospital of delaying treatment of the injured, the hospital administration informed. Police have arrested nine persons on the charge of involvement in vandalism. They said most of the vandals were inebriated.
