Kathmandu, March 10
The death toll in the bus accident in the Sankhuwasabha district of Province 1 on Thursday morning has reached 14 with four more deaths reported.
“We have recovered 14 bodies on the spot, and five are injured, DSP Lal Dhwaj Subedi says, “The victims are yet to be identified.”
Madi Mayor Bidur Kumar Linthep says the injured have been taken to the district headquarters, Chainpur, for treatment.

Sankhuwasabha bus accident kills 10
Kathmandu, March 10
At least 10 people died in a bus accident in the Sankhuwasabha district of Province 1 on Thursday morning. The death toll may rise as rescue efforts are still underway and details are awaited.
The bus (Ba 4 Kha 735), en route to Damak of the Jhapa district, had fallen off the road at Satghumti, Madi municipality-6 of the Sankhuwasabha district.
DSP Lal Dhwaj Subedi says the vehicle fell around 350 metres down the road.
