Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Sitaula has said that the party’s 13th General Convention is a good opportunity for the party to choose its new leadership.
Sitaula, who was talking to mediapersons in Itahari, said that the party rank and file should elect a leader who is capable and aware of the times. He also hoped that the party’s jamboree will be able to unite the party and make it more dynamic.
“There have been times when the whole country has had to bear heavy losses because of the wrong decisions that Nepali Congress made,” Sitaula said, adding that the party should not repeat such mistakes.
Sitaula is to attend a programme in Jhapa to commemorate the 13th day of party president Sushil Koirala’s death.
