Kathmandu, April 14
Naya Shakti Nepal is launching a door-to-door campaign to raise funds for conducting the party’s activities, including political campaigns.
The Baburam Bhattarai-led force is appealing public for funds as it steps up preparations to organise its national gathering in about two months. In the appeal, Bhattarai says Naya Shakti needs economic assistance for political campaigning and transitional management, noting that it has been conducting regular activities by collecting funds from its members.
Naya Shakti says it plans to mobilise teams, each with at least five members, for raising funds. It has pledged to make the whole process transparent, stating that the teams will issue receipts upon receipt of funds.
The appeal states that Naya Shakti will accept donations amounting to more than Rs 10,000 through bank cheques.
