Kathmandu, July 14
Speaker Onsari Gharti inaugurated a two-day-long exhibition organised to highlight the challenges being faced by photo journalists.
Gharti, who clicked a photo of PJs to inaugurate the event, said the House will do its bit in helping journalists do their job in a safer environment.
According to the organisers, the exhibition at Nepal Art Council will be on till Saturday.
Senior Photo Journalist Chandra Sekhar Karki said media houses in Nepal treated PJs as ‘second-class’ journalists, and that needs to change. Club’s President Bikash Karki urged Speaker Gharti to help PJs cover House business better.
