U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal to play against sub-continent giants

Nepal’s junior cricket side will play the 2016 edition of the U-19 Asia Cup tournaments which features Asian giants India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The tournament, which is to be held from December 10-22, will be played in Sri Lanka, local reports say.

The first edition of the tournament was held in 2012 in Malaysia where the trophy was shared by India and Pakistan. The second edition was held in 2013/14 in UAE,  won by India.

This year the teams are: India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Singapore and Malaysia.

According to reports, the eight teams will be pitted in two groups with one segment playing their matches in Southern Sri Lanka while the other in the Colombo region.
