Kathmandu, June 30
At least three persons sustained injuries when a group of CPN-UML cadres allegedly pelted stones at a victory rally of the CPN-Maoist Centre in Ramaroshan of Achham district on Friday.
After winning all five positions in Ward 1 of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality, the Maoist party had organised the rally this afternoon.
Of the three injured, two including Surat Saud and Tek Bahadur BK have been airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment. They have sustained injuries in head and other body parts.
Chief of the District Police Office, DSP Niranjan Datta Bhatta, says six have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Further investigation is underway.
