Kathmandu, February 21
UML vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam has said there preparations were on to dissolve the Sushil Koirala government during the final phase of the constitution-making process.
Speaking at a programme organised to commemorate the 13th day since the demise of party chief Sushil Koirala, Gautam said a proposal to leave the Sushil Koirala government was being discussed within the party.
Gautam, who was Home Minister in Koirala’s Cabinet said the proposal would have been implemented, if it weren’t for him. “It was almost certain that the party would leave the ruling alliance. But I did not let that happen.”
There were many conspiracies within Nepali Congress, but each one failed, he said adding that Sushil Koirala was a heroic figure.
