Kathmandu, September 8
Barsha Man Pun, a leader from the ruling CPN-Maoist Centre, said on Thursday that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will address the Parliament again to disseminate information about his upcoming visit to India.
Talking about PM’s speech in the House on Thursday with Onlinekhabar, Pun said: The speech was not about his India visit. He will address the House again on the upcoming visit to India.
Regarding questions about programmes that PM Prachana presented, despite the fact that the Parliament has already approved erstwhile government’s policies and programmes, Pun said: Prime Minister can of course present in the Parliament in the capacity of the chief executive. While registering the no-confidence motion against then PM Oli, Prachanda had pledged to do certain things he became PM. Through his speech, PM Prachanda just informed the Parliament about his priorities.
Pun said the opposition party should welcome the priorities that the PM has outlined through his address.
He said: What we are saying is that the opposition should play the role of the watchdog to see whether Prime Minister’s promises translate into action or not. What type of democracy is this in which a PM cannot speak in the Parliament?
