Kathmandu, October 26
An electric cable caught fire at Anamnagar, Kathmandu, on Wednesday, bringing power supply to a halt in areas surrounding Singhadubar, the government secretariat.
The disruption came after power cable belonging to Nepal Electricity Authority caught fire at 11.30 am in Anamnagar. According to eyewitnesses, the cable caught fire all of a sudden.
Right after the incident, police rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire, which consumed the whole of the cable in the area.
Acccording to NEA’s No Light Section (Ratnapark), power supply will remain obstructed throughout the day.
