Kathmandu, December 27
Police in Kathmandu have arrested a YouTuber on the charge of promoting obscenity via his YouTube channel.
Ram Bahadur Malla, a resident of Khapapani, Nisikhola rural municipality-1 of the Baglung district, was currently residing in Anamnagar of Kathmandu. He was arrested in Anamnanagr on Sunday.
SSP Nabindra Aryal, the spokesperson of the Nepal Police Cybercrime Bureau, says the Kathmandu District Court has remanded him in custody for five days for further investigation.
He will face action as per the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008.
