21-year-old arrested in Malangwa of Sarlahi with one kg of gold

Malangwa, June 19

Police have arrested Ajaya Kumar Yadav (21) of Aurahi-2, Sarlahi district, with gold worth around five million rupees.

They arrested Yadav on Saturday with gold weighing around one kg while he was heading to Sonbarsa of India from Tower Chok of Malangwa on a motorcycle numbered BR 30 M-4069. Police said they recovered 12 pieces of gold from the dicky of the bike.

Meanwhile in Dhading, police arrested Buddhiman Bal Tamang (45) of Kiranchok-5, Dhading district, with 4.5 kg of hashish from Hapsechaur, Thakre-6, on Saturday. Tamang was on board a bus numbered Na 4 Kha 6091, which was heading for Kathmandu.

In Nepalgunj municipality-1, Banke district, police arrested Akhtar Ali Teli alias Bablu (35), Imran Ansari (35) and Hanif Teli (45) with 49.5 gm of what looked like brown sugar. Police said an investigation is underway.

In Kathmandu, police arrested Govinda Gurung (21) and Prakash Shahi Thakuri (19) of Kalikot with a stolen motorcycle from Kageshwori Manahara municipality-13 on Saturday.

About two months ago, they had stolen the bike numbered Ba 63 P 6442 parked at the parking lot of Moonlight Cafe in Thamel. In course of investigation, police found they were operating the bike by switching its registration number to Bhe 5 Pa 9467.
