Kathmandu, February 6
Kathmandu district court has extended the judicial custody of Nepal Police SSP Shyam Khatri, arrested as part of a probe into the smuggling of 34 kg gold, by four more days.
Central Investigation Bureau had arrested SSP Khatri, recalled at Nepal Police headquarters on the suspicion of his involvement in the smuggling case while he was posted at Tribhuvan International Airport, on Sunday.
Police had sought extension of his custody to file a case against Khatri on the charge of involvement in organised crime.
