Kathmandu, February 6
Central Investigation Bureau on Monday presented Nepal Police SSP Shyam Khatri, arrested as part of a probe into the smuggling of 34 kg of gold, at the Kathmandu district court. CIB produced Khatri to the court seeking extension of his custody for continuation of the investigation.
Apart from SSP Khatri, law enforcement has also arrested some staff of the Tribhuvan International Airport customs for investigating the smuggling of 34 kg of illegal gold via air.
