38 companies restricted from transaction for failure to pay NEPSE

Kathmandu, October 18

The Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) on Wednesday restricted 38 companies from carrying out share transactions as they failed to pay due fees to the NEPSE.

Their payment was due on Tuesday.

Of these 38 companies, 19 have outstanding payable for years. Five of the companies have not paid as they have been merged with other companies.

The companies who had regular transactions, but are forced to suspend the transaction today are National Microfinance, Rapti-Bheri Development Bank, Sahara Development Bank, Sajha Development Bank, Samata Microfinance, Saptakoshi Development Bank, Kabeli Development Bank, Karnali Development Bank, Mahila Ficrofinance Development Bank, Unilever Nepal, Dibyeshwari Hydro, Kunwar Merchant Banking and Finance, Civil Microfinance Development Bank and Hamro Development Bank.

NEPSE says the transactions will resume as soon as they pay.

There are total 196 companies listed in NEPSE and they have to pay certain fees according to their paid-up capital.
