Janakpurdham, June 11
Five children died after falling into a pond in Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya rural municipality of the Dhanusha district in southeastern Nepal on Friday.
The children living in ward 6 of the local unit had gone there to take a bath, but they drowned, informs Makendra Kumar Mishra, the District Police Office spokesperson.
Mishra says police have suspected other children might have also drowned there, and a search is underway.
The victims, all girls, appear to be 10-12 in age. They are yet to be identified.
