Kathmandu, February 14
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case against Dr Bhakta Man Shrestha, chair of the Bharatpur-based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. The CIAA has accused Dr Shrestha of amassing property by misusing his authority during his career in the health sector.
The CIAA has asked the court to collect Rs 16.75 million from Shrestha as fine. Dr Shrestha’s wife Shilu Shrestha has been made the defendant in the case.
