Kathmandu, February 23
Police arrested an individual with a pistol, from Chandol, Kathmandu, on Tuesday.
Acting on a special tip-off, a team from Kathmandu police arrested Prabhakar Bhattarai with a sixer, SSP Bikram Singh Thapa said. He added the pistol was not loaded at the time of its confiscation. Police suspect that Bhattarai was carrying the gun to threaten people.
Details regarding the person’s age and address were not immediately available.
A probe has begun, Thapa said.
