Bhaktapur, June 16
Exam Controller’s Office at Sanothimi is publishing results of SLC examinations by putting students in nine different categories ranging from 0 to A+. Those, whose scores are below D+, will not get admission in Plus-Two level.
Exam controller Krishna Prasad Kapri said: Unlike in previous years, this year the office will not declare students pass or fail.
There is certain criteria in place for admission of students in different streams. The Higher Secondary Education Board has said students should get at least D+ in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Nepali for admission in Grade XI.
Those wishing to study Science should get at least a C+ in Science and Maths and C in English, board vice-chair Chaitanya Sharma informed. The students should get this grade — 50-60 per cent — in both Practical and Theoretical Papers. The students are eligible for admission in other faculties even if they get a D+. For admission in technical courses, however, students should get at least a C+ in all subjects.

Students wishing to study Management should get a C in Mathematics compulsorily, whereas those wishing to study Tourism, Mass Communications and Hotel Management should get a C in English compulsorily.
In optional subjects, students should get at least a C. As per the board, only those students, who score more than a D+, will get admission at Plus-Two.
However, the Centre for Technical Education and Vocational Training has decided to enroll even those students, who score a C. As per the CTEVT, students should get a C each in Compulsory English, Maths and Science to be eligible for admission in its programmes.
The office has also made arrangements for chance examinations. Those securing D or E grades can sit for such exams, which will take place in the month of Shrawan (about a month from now). The tests are not compulsory, though students trying to better their scores can take a chance.
