Kathmandu, September 28
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi said on Wednesday that homework is afoot to arrive at political understanding for holding (three-tier) — local, provincial and federal — elections by amending the Constitution.
He said even the CPN-UML, the main opposition, is positive when it comes to homework on Charter amendment.
Responding to questions coming from members of the Parliament’s State Affairs Committee regarding poll preparations, DPM Nidhi said homework for Constitution amendment is in the final stage. He said drafting of election laws is also going on.
