PM Prachanda, US envoy Teplitz had a talk. What did they discuss?

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and United States Ambassador to Nepal, Alaina B Teplitz had a meeting on Monday.

The meeting at Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar focused on Nepal’s contemporary political situation, transitional justice and its management.

Prime Minister said his government was striving to implement the Constitution by reaching understanding with all political parties.

He described Nepal’s peace process and conflict management as unique. Prachanda said transitional justice management will be based on reports coming from Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Inquiry Commission on Disappearances.

During the meeting, PM Prachanda expressed concern about the recent US presidential election and future of Nepalis living in the US, his Private Secretariat informed.

Ambassador Teplitz said the poll result will not affect Nepal and Nepalis.
