Gorkha, January 2
Police, acting on information from locals, have recovered two sacks full of detonators and their wires from a jungle in Swara village development committee-9, Gorkha district.
According to police, cowherds had informed them about some suspicious objects they stumbled upon in the forest on Sunday morning.
A team under an inspector is heading towards the site with locals. Police suspect then Maoist rebels may have hidden the explosives there during the decade-long armed conflict.
Two years ago, two children suffered injuries in a blast that took place when they started playing with some suspicious objects found on the spot.
Apparently, they were playing with explosives.
