Kathmandu, March 6
A suspicious object has been found near the CPN-UML’s programme venue in Saptari. As part of its Mechi-Mahakali Campaign, the main opposition is organising a mass gathering at the industrial estate in Saptari. Tension has gripped Saptari after UDMF staged demonstrations in different parts of the district in a bid to disrupt UML’s programme.
The object was found on the bridge connecting the industrial estate and Rupani.
It is suspected that the object wrapped in a piece of red cloth may be a bomb. Divesh Lohani, superintendent of police, informed that they have called in a bomb disposal squad.
In Saptari, UDMF cadres are staging demonstrations against the UML by displaying black flags. They have also taken out stick rallies.
