Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav says the main opposition CPN-UML does not have any moral high ground to solicit votes from people of Terai as it voted against the constitution amendment bill introduced in a bid to address demands of agitating Madheshi parties.

“The UML has committed a grave mistake by voting against the bill, thereby losing the moral foundation to seek votes from Madheshi people,” he says, adding other big parties have also not done anything for the region.

While speaking with journalists in Janarkpur today, Yadav said Madheshi parties would get sufficient votes in the upcoming elections to correct the constitution.
