Lawmakers representing eight districts of Province 2 on Tuesday held a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to demand that the government run a special campaign for prosperity of Province.
The lawmakers visited the Prime Minister’s Official residence in Baluwatar and requested him to launch ‘Prime Minister’s Campaign for Tarai-Madhesh Prosperity’ in the Province, informed Suman Pyakurel, a National Assembly member from the CPN-UML.
The lawmakers also dragged the Prime Minister’s attention to improvement of agriculture sector and Chure conservation.
Similarly, they also requested Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to stress on Province 2’s development and expedite the construct of embankment in the floodprone areas in the Province, according to lawmaker Pradeep Kumar Yadav.
In response, the Prime Minister assured the lawmakers of prioritising the development there.
