Kathmandu, December 6
Namrata Shrestha has won the title of Miss Nepal, also known as Miss Nepal World, for this year.
The grand finale of the annual beauty pageant was held in Kathmandu on Saturday evening, without audience this time due to the Covid-19 risk.
Earlier last month, the organiser, Hidden Treasure, had shortlisted 22 women from among over 200 applicants for the event.
Along with the title, Shrestha also won Rs 250,000 cash prize. Now, she will get an opportunity to represent Nepal in the Miss World contest next year.
Simal Kanaujiya won the title of Miss Nepal Supranational, Supriya Shrestha Miss Nepal Earth, and Sandhya Sharma Miss Nepal International as announced yesterday. Each of them can participate in different international beauty contests now.
