A probe team at the Nepal Police Headquarters has recommended that the headquarters take action against 11 police staffers for their involvement in leaking a question paper prepared for an examination for the selection of UN peacekeeping missions.
If the police leadership decides to implement the report, two staffers will lose their jobs as they were masterminds of the case whereas nine others would face other kinds of actions.
Those being sacked include Suresh Bam, an assistant at the UN Section, and head constable Kumar Shah at the Cyber Bureau.
The headquarters had conducted two tests on July 30 and 31 at the headquarters itself. However, before the tests, it was revealed that some of the examinees had already got the question papers in advance.
Following that, new question sets were prepared immediately whereas Inspector General Shailesh Thapa Kshetri had formed a team to look into the issue.
But, a source says IGP Thapa Kshetri and his senior colleagues have already decided to cancel the tests and ask the candidates to retake them with the newer questions.
