Chitwan, March 31
Two persons died in a road accident in the Ratnagar municipality of the Chitwan district in southern Nepal on Wednesday.
The victims have been identified as Niranjan Shrestha (55), a resident of Tandi, Ratnagar-10, and his wife Nintara (50). They were riding on a motorbike (Bagmati Province 03-002-Pa 1895) when a minibus (ba 5 Kha 190) hit it at local Bhanu Chok yesterday.
Seriously injured in the accident, the due were taken to the Purano Medical College in Bharatpur, where they breathed last, according to DSP Indra Bahadur Rana, the chief of the Tandi Area Police Office.
Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
