Six people were arrested in connection with the murder of the school principal in Bara.
Rupesh Swarnakar, the principal of Bal Ekta English Boarding School, was shot dead by gunmen on Monday.
Bara police spokesperson DSP Dadhiram Neupane informed that three Nepalis and three Indians have been arrested and are being investigated.
According to police sources, one of the arrested is a former teacher working at the same school. The police have not revealed the names of those arrested.
According to police, a group of four individuals on two motorcycles opened fire at Swarnakar on Monday afternoon. Swarnakar sustained severe injuries to his head and chest from the bullets and succumbed to them while undergoing treatment at Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj.
Preliminary police investigations suggest Swarnakar was killed as an act of vengeance.
